Local Property Tax (“LPT”) and Personal Tax Returns

Now that we are approaching the deadline for the submission of personal tax returns please be aware of the following:

If you are obliged to submit a personal Income Tax return or a personal Capital Gains Tax return and you do so, but are not fully compliant for LPT purposes you run the risk of having a 10% surcharge imposed on your personal tax liability regardless of whether you have filed your return on time.

This also applies equally to companies and Corporation Tax as it does to individuals and Personal Tax.
